    Dear Anna/Mukul,

Thanks for answering the last question. I am sorry for asking so many questions.

Maybe I am not able to get, but how does one know entry/exit and stoploss levels using ticks. For example, I went short on Nifty last thursday, held on to shorts even though market went up on Friday. On Monday morning, it was obvious that market is going down. However, I ended up making a 20% profit on short, which given market was down by 5%, was not much. Basically, it was a put and lost some time value.

I was wondering how can i know entry and exit on a daily basis through ticks? Since TICKS gives positional trades, should i then use futures instead of call/puts?

TICKS focuses on minor and subminor trends. Options can be used for minor and above trends. But sub minor trends may be difficult to trade using options.

Option premiums are more sentimental than futures price owing to the fact that as an option value moves from in the money to out of the money, it becomes sparsely traded and potentially more mispriced. This is why if you are trading on Options you need to be more selective about the trends than if you are on futures.

    Thanks for the guidance!

Remember that 9 legged structure you/Anna/Orpheus drew during the option expiration week in June-2009 on Nifty? I traded that using options. And it would have been a great trade had i done some risk control. I traded price then based on the 9 leg structure and I should have traded time then. It was a great call.

Given what you said about sub minor and options, I was wondering if TICKS can guide in terms of time/price during the july expiration week. I mean can that be done? The 4-5 days of option expiration week can result in good trades if called correctly. But I am not sure if that would come under minor or sub-minor. It may be asking for too much or maybe i am wrong, but i thought i will still write it.

We will try to focus more on time forecasts near expiration.
